Kip Murphy had a lot of good advice in leadership and a lot of first hand knowledge. The three things that he talked about that stuck out most to me were...
- Focus on the people rather then the task
- Be aware of your own faults
- Value each relationship
Im going to sum these up in my own words.
- Don't put so much importance on the finished product but focus on the people involved in producing the product because in the end if you build relationships with the people making the product they're going to want to work better for you
- Your not perfect and the more aware of that you are the easier it will to involve people who excel where your faults are and maybe where you excel is their faults... so you build teamwork
- Make the best out of every person you meet or work with because that builds mutual trust and friendship
